Did You Know We Run on Referrals?

There are many different ways in which financial advisors can grow their firm, much like any other service-based business. However, our most effective strategy in gaining new clients and consistent growth easily comes from referrals. Put another way – our advisory firm runs on referrals, and we are always thankful for them.

In our industry, when a firm is independent, testimonials from clients are strictly prohibited. Therefore, referrals are extremely important and play a major role in building our business. Instead of having testimonials from clients on our website, brochures, or print ads, we rely heavily on word-of-mouth compliments from our clients that we work with.

Over the past 18 years, we have had the opportunity to work with amazing clients. By consistently educating, collaborating with, and providing a supportive experience to those clients, we’ve been able to inspire them to deeply engage in their financial lives.

Different Types of Referrals

There are two different types of referrals that our firm runs off of – client referrals and referrals from other professionals. The most important referral comes directly from our clients. At the end of the day, our clients understand the entire experience of working with us. What better form of referral, then, from someone that can actually attest to the value and results that we can bring to the table. Whether it be family or friends that are referred to us from clients, we are always grateful and would love to be of assistance.

The second type are referrals from other professionals, such as attorneys and CPAs. Because financial planning involves so many different layers, we have established relationships with other professionals that provide their expertise to our clients when needed. Those professionals have been in meetings with our clients and they know how we work. When they have clients that would be a great fit for our firm, it is a win-win situation.

First, comes from our “why” behind what we do. Our intention has always been to empower our clients with clarity and confidence around their financial lives. When our clients experience a “breakthrough” in that sense, they often feel inspired to share that with their family or friends.

In addition, I have first-hand experience as a woman that has gone through many life experiences that many women have faced or will face in the future. I draw upon my unique life and professional experiences, communication skills, and passion for what I do to provide an environment that inspires my clients to become fully engaged in their financial lives.
